Victim Raises Awareness of Hate Crimes with Film, Tour
Last April in Albany, N.Y, vandals noted a small rainbow sticker on Erin Davies’ Volkswagen. They then defaced her car by spray painting homophobic slurs all over the vehicle. Now, she is touring the car across the United States and Canada to raise awareness about hate crimes.
Davies will talk about her quest at 1 p.m. Friday, April 4, in Stabler Hall Room 111. The event is sponsored by the Alliance, Gender Studies, Office of Campus Life Minority Advocacy, the Anthropology Club, and American Humanics.
