Social Work Grant Promotes Older Adults
UALR is one of only 20 programs nationwide selected by the Council on Social Work Education to participate in the group’s Gero-Ed Center’s BSW Experiential Learning Program.
The BSW program will receive $7,500 to implement learning opportunities that allow students to increase their interaction with older adults.
As America’s aging population booms, a significant gap exists between the number of older adults and the number of social workers competently prepared to meet their needs.
