Financial Aid
UALR offers grants, scholarships, and loans. Information is available through the Office of Student Financial Services (501-569-3130, Administration South).
UALR Department of Nursing Private Scholarships - ASN Program
Qualified UALR nursing students are eligible to submit a scholarship application. Students must complete necessary financial aid forms prior to submission of the scholarship application. Information and forms may be obtained from the UALR Office of Student Services (ADS 206).
The following scholarships are available:
Flesher Family Foundation Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time second year nursing student with preference given to first generation college students. Academic accomplishments and financial need will be strongly considered. Awarded to one student per year. Total award is $4000 ($2000 per semester second year).
Dennis Jungmeyer Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time student accepted into the nursing program that is a current or former CARTI patient. Academic accomplishment, community service, and financial need will be strongly considered. A narrative page (writing sample) should be attached to the application detailing the student’s interest in furthering his/her education in nursing. The recipient(s) will be asked to sign a good faith intent of employment within the nursing fields, with preference given to those remaining in Arkansas. Awards to each qualified applicant. Total award is $2000 per semester.
Willard and Pat Walker Nursing Scholarship
Awarded to a full-time student majoring in the nursing program. Award will be based on academic record and financial need. A writing sample should be submitted with the application. Total award is $8000 ($2000 per nursing semester).
