he UALR Department of Nursing accepts students once a year for courses that begin in the summer term. For acceptance, students will be ranked according to quality points. Quality points are determined by academic history in the required general education courses and theĀ EVOLVE A2 Entrance Exam.
The Department of Nursing has a priority deadline ofĀ Feb. 28Ā for all students applying to the AAS RN program. Students may continue to apply after the priority deadline; however they may be placed on a waiting list.
- AttendĀ Pre-Admission Advising. Nursing admissions can be a complex process depending on the individual student. Students are required to attend a group advising session prior to applying to the program.
- Apply to UALR. Students must apply to UALR and the Department of Nursing separately. (Previous UALR students must reapply to the institution if you have not taken classes in two years).
- Complete theĀ EVOLVE A2 Nursing Entrance Exam. Students can take this exam at theĀ UALR Testing ServicesĀ and Student Life Research Office located in the Student Services Building. Call (501) 569-3198 to schedule the exam.
- Submit a completed, signed Department of Nursing Application, test scores, and unofficial transcripts from ALL PREVIOUS COLLEGES to the Department of Nursing. Please note, individual applications may require additional documentation such as TOEFL scores, clemency form, letters of good standing, etc. Applicants will not be considered until all documentation has been submitted.
