To Compose A Message
1. Click Compose.
The Compose Message window appears, your cursor will be in the "add
recipient" field.
2. In the "add recipient" field, type an email address,
then choose from
the following:
To: Use this field to address a message to recipients. Type a
recipient's name, and next to "As," click "To."
You can have as
many "To" recipients as necessary.
Cc: Use this field to send a copy. Type the copied recipient's name,
and next to "As," click "Cc". You can have as
many "Cc" recipients
as necessary.
Bcc: Use this field to send a blind copy. Other recipients cannot
see that you have sent a copy of the message to this recipient.
Type the blind copied recipient's name, and next to "As,"
click
"Bcc". You can have as many "Bcc" recipients
as necessary.
Note: To add several recipients in a single "add recipient"
field, you can
enter each recipient's name followed by a comma. For example: kristi,
taylor, carolyn, daphne.
3. Click the Subject field and type a description of the subject
of your
message.
4. Click the top left of the message text box, and enter the text
of the
message.
5. At the top of the window, click Send.
Replying to a Message
1. Click Reply to reply to the sender, or Reply All to reply to
the sender and all
recipients.
A Compose Message window appears with the name of the recipient
or recipients. Your cursor will be in the "add recipient"
field and the subject of the original message is prefaced with re:.
2. If you want to enter additional email addresses, do so, then
click "To", "Cc", or "Bcc" to indicate
how you want the address to be listed.
3. Click the top left of the message box and enter the text of your
message, which is below the Subject line, to put your cursor in
the Body Text Area.
4. Click Send.
Attaching A File
1. Click Compose.
2. Click the Attach icon.
The Attach File windows appears.
3. Click the Browse to select a file.
4. After selecting a file, click Attach.
The window will close once the file transfer is complete.
Viewing Messages in Folders
1. Click the Folders tab for a list of folders.
2. Click the folder you want to view.
3. Click the subject of the message you want to view.
