Introduction

Brent Knutson, who taught New Testament and Old Testament Survey, died in his home on Monday, May 20th, 2002. He came to UALR in 1971 from Claremont Graduate School and became chair of the department in 1979. Most of our students knew Brent, if not through his classes, by his office door covered with jokes and odd newspaper clippings. His dry and ready humor, his thorough knowledge of the Bible, and his love of teaching were always appreciated. He will be greatly missed.
