Ivan Martinez and Marshall Akins
were both selected to participate in the McNair Scholars program.
Dr. Bill Lawson, Distinguished Professor of Philosophy, University of Memphis, will give a lecture titled “Philosophy for the Rest of Us.” 
The lecture will take place April 26 at 6:00 pm in DSC-D. Lawson.pdf
There will also be a small group discussion with Prof. Lawson on his article, “Microphone Commandos: Rap Music and Political Philosophy” on April 26th at 2:30 pm. If interested, please contact Dr. Green: rmgreen1@ualr.edu.

The Philosophy Honor Society, Phil Sigma Tau, will be sponsoring The Oracle Award again this year.
If you have a paper you would like to submit, please see the attched flyer. Any philosophy paper written for a course, either in the Fall Term 2011 or the Spring Term 2012, is eligible.
Ethics Bowl Team trip!

Phi Sigma Tau, the Philosophy Honor Society, hosts Philosophy Bites once a month in 
Stabler 307 at lunchtime to dicuss philosophical questions guided by a gobbet, or bite, of philosophical text.
