Physical Plant

Employee of the Month

July 2009 Marlon Willis, Central Stores/Warehouse

Marlon Willis has gone above and beyond his normal duties this past month. With a manpower shortage in Mail Services, Marlon has pitched in the past few weeks to help deliver the FedEx and UPS overnight packages along with his regular duties of delivering Central Store office supplies, filling orders for Physical Plant maintenance and M&R. Mail Service Director Scott Kaufman said he was a great help and much appreciated. Thank you Marlon for a job well done.

June 2009 Gloria Negual, Work Order Control

Gloria Negual went above and beyond her normal work duties during the past few weeks. The end of the fiscal year is a trying time for those in the accounting departments, and Work Order Control is no exception. Gloria not only managed to perform her normal daily tasks in her usual competent fashion, but she also was able to reconcile and close-out over 60 individual work orders on an ever “crashing software program” before the deadline all while keeping a cool, calm and professional attitude. And by the way, this was her FIRST time to experience the UALR fiscal year end crunch.

April 2009 James S. Layton, Electrician

James was voted Employee of the Month for his dedication. He responds to emergency calls no matter the time, works most Basketball games and events during the week and weekends and helps other departments. He was also instrumental in tracking a short in the fire alarm system in Fribourgh Hall.
