Heliostat

Heliostat

The Heliostat is located on the top of Fribourgh Hall. Shown on the top of Fribourgh Hall is Dr. Tony Hall.

This heliostat can be used to project the image of the sun onto the 40 diameter planetarium dome.
It is used to safely show sunspots and eclipses.

It has also been used with a spectrograph to view the solar spectrum in the lab behine the planetarium dome chamber.
