Advisory Committees – LR 221.1

Back to Administration

University of Arkansas at Little Rock
Policy Name: Advisory Committees
Policy Number: LR 221.1
Effective Date: July 13, 1996

Policy

This policy supports the use of advisory committees on the UA Little Rock campus and provides guidelines for selecting those committees.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock endorses and encourages the appointment of advisory committees. Such committees can provide needed critiques and will work in support of university programs.

Names of prospective advisory board members should be sent to the chancellor with a copy to the director of Development. The director of Development will review and advise the chancellor on all appointments to advisory boards. People, who already serve on the Board of Visitors or other substantial committees of the university, will not routinely be approved by the chancellor. No prospective advisory board member should be contacted about appointment before he or she has been reviewed and approved.
