Policy
UALR Dress Standards - Student Services Center/Donaghey Student Center
Employees who work in the Student Services Center/Donaghey Student Center serve both teaching roles as models of professional dress and public relations roles as front-line representatives of the university. Therefore, employees who work in the Student Services Center and Donaghey Student Center are expected to dress in either Standard Business dress or Business Casual dress. University employees who work on the Executive Floor (fourth floor) of the Student Services Center are expected to wear Standard Business dress.
Standard Business
Men: suits, sport coats, dress slacks, collared dress shirts, and a tie.
Women: suits, dresses, skirts, tailored slacks, blouses, and sweaters.
Business Casual
Men: dress slacks, khakis, button-down shirts, collared knit shirts, sweaters, and sport coats.
Women: separates such as skirts, slacks, blouses, collared knit shirts, sweaters, sweater sets, and jackets.
For men and women, clothing bearing the UALR logo is encouraged for Business Casual dress.
Footwear
Dress shoes, oxfords, loafers, boots, flats, dress heels, and sensible walking shoes are acceptable for work. Athletic shoes, tennis shoes, flip-flops, and house shoes are not acceptable.
The vice chancellor with administrative jurisdiction over an office will determine the appropriate dress standard for an office.
