Advising

Each UALR student must be academically advised each semester before registering. This allows an advising flag to be removed so the student may register.

Advising Basics
For most students advising begins in Academic Advising, located in Ross Hall (RH) 406. As soon as a student declares an academic major in political science in BOSS, advising shifts to the political science faculty.

Faculty members take great interest in our majors and take their advising responsibilities very seriously. However students are better off when they take responsibility for their own affairs and educate themselves on the requirements for graduation and university procedures.

Each political science major will be required to declare and complete a minor field before graduating.
