Presidential Materials at UALR

The Presidential Studies Reading Area in UALR's Ottenheimer Library houses a variety of reference books, videos, and other materials, including a collection of campaign and political memorabilia on display. View descriptions of some of the recent acquisitions.

Research Guides

These research guides were compiled in July 2002 by Julienne Crawford, as part of an internship project of the
Graduate Program in Public History at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. The collection was purchased with funds from a Donaghey Foundation grant for a "Presidential Studies Initiative" at UALR.

Presidential Election Campaign Biographies

Presidential Election Campaign Biographies, Core Collection, 1824-1976 is a microfiche collection of 197 titles on 597 fiche. The collection, located in the Ottenheimer Library at UALR, includes sources about specific elections, parties and presidential candidates, including winners and losers. ( hand out, slide show)

Researching Presidential Papers at UALR

This presentation offers an overview of multimedia resources – books, videos, primary source documents – housed at the Ottenheimer Library, shows where resources are located and how to access and search them. (slide show)

GPO Access: Government Documents Databases

GPO Access: describes how to use the Government Printing Office's searchable database of government documents online, primarily from the mid-1990s to the present. (hand out)
