Programs Abroad

Welcome!

Programs abroad offer you a unique and valuable experience—the opportunity not only to study, but also to immerse yourself in another country and culture, thus expanding your view of the world. While working to fulfill major and minor coursework requirements, you also have the opportunity to acquire firsthand knowledge of another culture, develop or improve fluency in another language, hone skills critical for professional success, and gain a global perspective. The intensity of the experience will stretch you in unexpected ways, and give you increased confidence in your own capabilities. Your time abroad will provide you with vivid and amazing memories that will last a lifetime, no matter where you choose to go–we are happy to be a part of getting you there! If UALR does not offer a program that fits your needs, we will assist you in finding one that best fits your academic goals, linguistic abilities, and interests. Feel free to stop by the office for more information—we look forward to helping you expand your horizons and start your adventure!
