Projects

My research primarily focuses on the influence of the home environment on child development. I am particularly interested in the mechanisms through which parenting influences children’s behavioral and cognitive development as well as potential moderators of these processes.

Students are always welcome to discuss research with me. Those who are interested in working on a research project, however, must be willing to devote several hours a week to research and conduct oneself in a professional manner. That means, show up for scheduled meetings and always do what you say you will do. Although research is hard work, it is also very rewarding. Moreover, research experience is invaluable in graduate school.
