To hold the University of Arkansas at Little Rock accountable for becoming a diverse, multi-ethnic community characterized by an absence of institutional racism.
UALR should have its own house in order and serve as an example for other organizations. The Institute will work with the Universityâ€™s Diversity Council (with the Institute director serving as a memberÂ of the council) to review institutional data and policies related to student, faculty, and staff representation and treatment, and to recommend actions that the university should take to lead by example inÂ creating a wholesome, diverse community.
We work to accomplish Goal Six by working with the UALR Diversity Council in a number of ways:
- Review and strengthen the campus accountability plan
- Campus climate survey of students
- Campus climate survey of faculty and staff
- Leadership development programs for faculty and staff leaders
