Students with disabilities will be given the opportunity to register early. Students should contact Disability Resource Center at (501) 569-3143 (v/tty) to make arrangements for special registration services.
Some courses have prerequisites that must be completed prior to registration. Failure to complete prerequisites may result in administrative withdrawal from a class. Check the catalog for specific details.
If one or more of the classes you requested is/are restricted classes, contact the department for approval.
The maximum number of hours undergraduate students may take without an overload authorization is 18; 15 hours for graduate students. To register for any hours over the maximum allowed, undergraduate students must obtain permission from their advisor. Graduate students wishing to take hours over the maximum must contact their advisor.
After the schedule adjustment period, all students who want to drop an individual class must do so in the Office of Records and Registration. Requests for a late drop based on failure to attend class will not be approved. After the adjustment period, a grade of “W” is posted to the student’s academic record for any dropped class. Individual classes may not be dropped on the web after the adjustment period of the semester. Come to the Office of Records and Registration to drop an individual class. See Academic Calendar for deadlines.
To withdraw from all courses with 100% refund, a registered student must officially withdraw during the schedule adjustment period. Non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal. Petition for late withdrawal from the University based on failure to attend class will not be approved.
In order to officially withdraw, obtain an Official Withdrawal Form from the Office of Records and Registration. An official withdrawal does not penalize or prevent a student from reenrolling at a future date. The deadline for withdrawing is listed in the Academic Calendar. If a student is out of town or for emergency reasons is unable to withdraw in person, he/she should contact the Office of Records and Registration by calling (501) 569-3110 or faxing a letter to (501) 569-8168. BOSS cannot be used to withdraw from the University during late registration or after classes start.
Students may not enroll in any developmental course at UALR more than twice. A student who receives A, B, C, NC, I, or W in a developmental course is considered “enrolled” for this purpose. The policy implements Act 1141 of the 1993 Arkansas General Assembly.
