Dropping an Individual Class

week of class, a grade of “W” is posted to the student’s
academic record for any dropped class. Individual
classes may not be dropped on the web after the first
week of the semester. Requests for a late drop based
on failure to attend class will not be approved. Come
to the Office of Records and Registration to drop an
individual class. See Academic Calendar for deadlines.
How to Withdraw (dropping all courses)
To avoid any charges, a registered student must
withdraw officially prior to the first day of classes.
Non-attendance does not constitute a withdrawal.
Petition for late withdrawal from the University based
on failure to attend class will not be approved.
In order to withdraw, obtain an official withdrawal
form from the Office of Records and Registration. An
official withdrawal does not penalize or prevent a
student from reenrolling at a future date. The deadline
for withdrawing is listed in the Academic Calendar. If
a student is out of town or for emergency reasons is
unable to withdraw in person, he/she should contact the
Office of Records and Registration by calling
(501) 569-3110 or faxing a letter to (501) 569-8168.
BOSS cannot be used to withdraw from the University.
