It is the policy of UALR to accommodate students with disabilities, pursuant to federal and state laws. Information about and coordination of services for students with sensory, physical, medical, learning, or psychological disabilities is available through Disability Support Services. Services include: facilitating access to programs and the environment; faculty consultation; counseling; advocacy; coordinating acquisition of taped and digital texts; adaptations such as braille, large print, raised line drawings for students with impaired vision; interpreters for students who are deaf; loan of assistance listing devices; and coordinating services with community agencies.
Any student with a disability who needs accommodation, for example in arrangements for seating, examinations, note-taking, or access to information on the web, should inform the instructor at the beginning of the course.
