Graduate Admissions
Summer: May 23, 2005 through August 8, 2005
Fall: August 22, 2005 through December 14, 2005
| Students seeking admission to the UALR Graduate School must submit the following to the Graduate School: |
| An Application for Admission found at http://boss.ualr.edu |
| Official transcripts sent from colleges and universities attended. Minimum qualifications are a
bachelor’s degree and 2.7 (A = 4) grade point average. (Some degree programs have higher
admission requirements.) |
| Certificate of Immunization for Institutions of Higher Education (required of all applicants born
after January 1, 1957). |
Degree Seeking Student
For most degree granting programs, a degree-seeking applicant will also need to provide
appropriate test scores (see www.gradschool.ualr.edu/programs.asp). Applicants not fully admitted
to the Graduate School who request provisional enrollment privileges will be asked to show proof
they are registered for the required tests and may also be required to supply other material to
support the request for enrollment.
| Non-Degree Seeking Applicant and Graduate Certificate Applicant |
| A non-degree seeking applicant wishing to take a limited number of graduate hours for purposes
of personal enrichment or professional advancement may be admitted as a Graduate Special nondegree
seeking student and must: |
| Meet the minimum qualifications for admission stated above; test scores normally are not
required for admission as a graduate special student. |
| Have official transcripts sent that show the last 60 hours of undergraduate work. (If the
applicant has already earned a master’s degree, only transcripts showing graduate work
including the transcript which shows conferral of that degree may be required.) |
| Check with the department chairperson or graduate program coordinator to determine
whether the student has the necessary background and prerequisites for the course in
question. |
