Student Orientation
The Spring 2007 new student orientation session will be offered on Thursday, January 11 from 8:00 AM to 11:30 PM. You will receive an email invitation.
The orientation program assists you in making a smooth transition to the University and to college life. During the session you will receive information about: the University; resources and services; academic/non-academic policies and regulations which will directly affect you; and registration. In addition, you will meet administrators, faculty, staff, and other students.
New students are encouraged to attend orientation and to explore our UALR Cyber-orientation site. To access Cyber-orientation, visit
www.ualr.edu/orientation. For more information, contact the Office of Campus Life at (501) 569-3308.

Entrance Tests
The University requires either the ACT or the SAT as part of the admissions requirements. Entering freshman who have not taken one of these in the last five years may take the ACT Residual. Information about dates, deadlines, and procedures is available in Testing Services.

Placement Tests
Placement in mathematics, freshman composition, and reading courses generally is based upon ACT or SAT scores. Students with scores below the proficiency level required in these areas must take developmental courses. In some cases, students may take placement tests to validate skills and bypass developmental courses. Contact the Office of Testing Services in Ross Hall 409 or phone (501) 569-3198 for eligibility and further information.

Nondiscrimination Policy
The University of Arkansas at Little Rock does not discriminate in admissions, treatment of students, employment, or programs on the basis of sex, disability, age, race, national origin, color, or religion or veteran status as is required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other laws and regulations prohibiting discrimination.
