The items below are designated as “Public or Directory Information” by the University of Arkansas and may be released for any purpose at the discretion of the University.
Under the provisions of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, you have the right to withhold the disclosure of any or all of the categories of "Directory or Public Information" listed below. These include: Student's name; address; telephone number; date and place of birth; major field of study; number of credit hours in which enrolled and number of credit hours completed; marital status; participation in registered activities and sports; weight and height (for members of an athletic team only); dates of attendance at the university; withdrawal record; enrollment status; class rank; email addresses; degrees and awards recieved, scholarships and honors; and previously attended a certain high school, college or university.
All students must contact the Office of Records and Registration to request that directory information not be disclosed. This request will remain in effect until lifted by student in writing.
Please consider very carefully the consequences of any decision by you to withhold any category of "Directory or Public Information." Should you decide to request the University not release any or all of this "Direectory of Public Information" any future requests for such information from non-institutional persons or organizations will be refused.
The University will honor your request to withold any of the categories listed but cannot assume responsibility to contact you for subsequent permission to release them. Regardless of the effect upon you, the institution assumes no liability for honoring your instructions that such information b withheld.
