UALR welcomes applications from students with diverse backgrounds and interests. Applicants who are new to college (possessing zero college credit hours) are considered “new” or “first-time” freshmen. Students applying to be first-time freshman must present the following academic qualifications to be automatically admitted:
Successful completion of the high school college preparatory core in effect at the time of graduation from high school plus one of the following:
- A cumulative high school grade-point average of 2.5
or
- An ACT composite score of 21 or a combined critical reading/math SAT score of at least 990.
