Coleen M. Barger, Professor of Law

Professor Barger’s research interests center on the uses and citation of authority by the courts and the practicing bar. Her pioneering work on appellate courts’ reference to sources on the Internet has been widely cited. She also studies evolving standards of legal citation, with particular focus on state court opinions and electronic media.
