Barbara L’Eplattenier, Professor of Rhetoric and Writing

Dr. L’Eplattenier’s research focuses on civic discourse during the Progressive Era, gender studies, usability, and the role of cognition in persuasion. She has been published in numerous edited collections. In addition, she is a co-editor of two collections: Working in the Archives: Practical Research Methods for Rhetoric and Composition, edited with Alexis Ramsey, Wendy Sharer, and Lisa Mastrangelo (SIUP 2010) and Historical Studies of Writing Program Administrators: Individual, Communities, and the Formation of a Discipline, (Parlor Press 2004; Winner Best Book of the Year Award 2004 from the Council of Writing Program Administrators).
