The Department of Public Safety (DPS) and Facilities Management will determine the condition of roads and walkways on the campus.
Road condition reports by the local police and the state police will be monitored and evaluated. The inclement weather policy will be followed.
Facilities Management personnel will respond to all snow or ice storms to remove snow and spread sand and salt if ice is present.
When weather conditions are so extreme that the administration decides it is necessary to postpone or cancel any university activity, the public will be notified by a public announcement from the Office of Communications and the information will also be posted on the university website. If cancellations are to be announced, care will be taken to make a public announcement at the earliest possible time.
