Sales Minor

The Marketing and Advertising Department of the College of Business now offers a minor in Professional Selling, with a business-to-business perspective.

The minor can be obtained with 18 credit hours (6 courses) as follows:
Required
MKTG 3350 Principles of Marketing (prerequisite to the following)
PFSL 3351 Professional Selling
PFLS 4350 Sales Management
PFSL 4380 Advanced Selling techniques

Choose 2 from the following
MKTG 3361 Physical Distribution
MKTG 4370 Business-to-Business Marketing
PFSL 4395 Cooperative Education I
PFSL 3300 Professionalism for Sales and Marketing

Admission Requirements
Any person who is admitted to a UALR Bachelor’s degree program is welcome to obtain this minor in addition to their major.

Graduation Requirements
The Sales Minor will be conferred upon graduation with a baccalaureate degree, and after completion of the requirements for the minor with a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Non-business majors begin the program with either MKTG 3350 — Principles of Marketing, or PFSL 3300 — Professionalism for Sales and Marketing. Courses are structured and offered so that with planning, the program should be completed within 12 months.
