Senior justice takes advantage of its access to numerous senior citizens, and also working professionals dealing with senior citizens to learn more about the realities of crime against the elderly. One of the many researches facilitated by Senior Justice is the Arkansas Senior Citizen Crime Survey which collects self-reported data on actual crime and perceptions on crime. This survey is of great importance because, greater understanding on current problems can be continuously monitored and policy-makers can gain awareness via the survey on views held by senior citizens and those working with senior citizens in addressing the issue of crimes against the elderly.
