Challenges, strengths, and services

Dr. Catherine Crisp from the Department of Social Work will be our featured speaker for our next Diversity Council “Lunch & Learn” Event on Thursday, April 3 in DSC Room G.

Dr. Crisp will discuss the issues affected by SAMs: students affected by the military. This group includes students in the military and veterans as well as family members who care about them. the presentation will begin with a discussion of the challenges they face along with the strengths they possess. This content will be followed by information about services at UALR including the military ombudsman, veterans affairs office, and the new student organization for students affected by the military.
