The BSW Field Experience I/II (SOWK 4541/4542) is completed in the fall and spring semesters of the senior year and consists of 240 hours of supervised internship each semester.
In conjunction with the internship, students must take Field Seminar I/II (SOWK 4212/4213). The BSW Field Coordinator oversees the internship program and is responsible for placing students in settings that are consistent with standards mandated by the Council on Social Work Education, the accrediting body for BSW and MSW programs.
Information about the internship program is presented to students late in the fall semester or early in the spring semester. If you would like to be a field instructor, please contact the School of Social Work at 501.569.3240.
