I am originally from Arkansas and grew up in Fayetteville. After leaving the state in 1982, I graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey with a BA in Sociology in 1987 and received my MSW from the University of Kansas in 1993.  Following a brief stint in Richmond, VA, I moved to Austin, Texas, to pursue my PhD in social work and graduated in 2002. After several years on the faculty at the University of Kansas, I am delighted to return to my home state.  I am currently the BSW Program Coordinator at UALR and love every minute of my time here.
