What is Capstone?

A unique and rewarding element of our BA program is the Capstone sequence. In the final year of the program, students work together in the class to complete a case analysis of communication situation. For example, students might analyze a relational, family, or organizational situation that has relevance to their lives. Based on this analysis, they make a presentation to faculty, students, alumni, and other community members in the Spring. Each student works closely with a faculty mentor in developing their final presentation. This experience continues to be a source of confidence and pride for our students.
