Engage Students with Interactive Polls in Collaborate

Blackboard Collaborate includes a polling feature that allows moderators to ask questions and receive immediate feedback from participants.  Polling is a great way to ensure students reflect on the information being presented and it gives instructors an opportunity to gauge students’ understanding.

Moderators can create poll questions on the whiteboard, ahead of time on a slide or verbally walk participants through questions.  Feedback buttons allow participants to respond with either yes/no or multiple-choice options.

Moderators can choose to show or hide responses of each individual participant.  A summary of the responses can then be published to the Whiteboard.

To adjust these options access the Tools menu at the top of the screen and click on Polling.
