STaR RealMedia Video Encoding Services
The following procedures apply to encoding video tapes, CDs, and DVDs to Real Media format for upload to UALR's streaming video servers.
To request video encoding services, UALR faculty/staff must first complete a Video Ticket. Tickets are available online at http://www.ualr.edu/star/www/multimedia.asp, via email, or in paper format. The completed Video Ticket and respective video tape or disc should be placed in the STaR's video "In Box" located in DKSN 105.
Turnaround time varies based on the types of services requested as indicated below:

STaR provides faculty support for streaming video services and can be contacted by telephone at (501) 569-8954 or through email at star@ualr.edu.
Students who have difficulty viewing streaming video files should first contact the instructor of the course. Students who are enrolled in totally online (100% web-based) courses and who need additional help can contact the Extended Programs Helpdesk in the following ways:Students who are enrolled in web-enhanced courses should contact the Computing Services Helpdesk by telephone at (501) 569-8720 or through email at exfuentes@ualr.edu.
