FAQ
How do I know what my ID number is?
When you apply online to BOSS, the system provides you with a temporary ID number so you can temporarily access the system. Once your information has processed through the system, your official ID number, starting with the letter “T” for Trojan followed by 8-digits (ex. T00123456), will be printed on a detachable card. This card is mailed with a letter to all faculty, staff, and students.
You can also obtain your ID number by attempting to login to BOSS by typing your Social Security number (SSN) in as your User ID. Your official ID Number will then show. However, you should record the new ID number at that time since the risk of identity theft increases with every use of your SSN. [back to top]
Can I select my own ID number?
No. To ensure greater efficiency and security, UALR issues computer-generated ID numbers. [back to top]
How will I know if my ID number is being sent to the right address?
The address you submitted at the time of application is the address that your Student ID number will be sent to. If this address has changed, you need to logon to BOSS (under the Personal Information link) to update your contact information. [back to top]
If I attended UALR in the past, do I keep my old ID number or do I get a new UALR I.D. number?
In order to maintain consistency and accuracy, the University has issued new ID numbers to all students, staff, and faculty. The new ID numbers will begin with the letter “T” for Trojan followed by 8-digits (ex. T00123456). [back to top]
If I am both an employee and student of the University will I receive two different numbers?
