Student Support Services

Eligibility

UALR students who meet certain criteria and are accepted into the SSS program will receive services at no charge. Eligible students must be U.S. citizens or nationals, have an academic need and are degree seeking.

A limited number of eligible students can be accepted from each eligibility category listed below:

  • Students who are both first generation (neither parent has a college degree) AND who qualify under certain income criteria
  • Students who qualify under first generation OR low income
  • Students with a disability

Eligible students must complete certain assessments. The staff uses assessments’ results to further determine academic eligibility. If you are admitted to SSS, you will be expected to make a commitment to using the available services.
