Student Support Services

Welcome to Student Support Services

Student Support Services (SSS) provides services to a limited number of eligible UALR students. SSS serves to motivate students toward the successful completion of their post-secondary education. The goal of the program is to increase participants’ college persistence, support them through graduation, and facilitate the transition from one level of higher education to the next.

Some services that SSS offers active participants includes:

  • Academic tutoring, including writing and study skills, and study spaces
  • Academic, career, and personal counseling
  • Informational workshops
  • Workshops and information on financial and economic literacy
  • Computer lab with free printing
  • Book club and Student Support Services library
  • Cultural and educational events
  • Graduate school preparation and assistance in applying for admission and financial aid
  • Grant aid, scholarship funds, and book loans to those eligible for these specialized services
