REQUEST TUTORING SERVICES

SSS students are eligible for tutoring services at no cost (both in the Tutoring Lab and one-on-one) each semester they are currently enrolled in courses at UALR.  If you are an SSS student and wish to request a tutor for the current semester, please click on the link below and fill out the request form.  You are welcome to save the electronic form and send it to the Tutoring Coordinator, Teresa Jordan, via email to triosss@ualr.edu, or drop it off in person in SPCH 106-B.

If you are an SSS student, you may also use the tutoring lab at no cost.  The tutoring lab specialists provide tutoring in math, science and some business courses.  Fill out the request form below, or see your SSS Counselor.  Return the request form to your SSS Counselor or the Tutoring Coordinator (in SPCH 106-B) and you are welcome to begin using the lab immediately.

If you are not an SSS student, see the Tutoring Coordinator in SPCH 106-B about receiving paid tutoring by appointment.

BECOME A TUTOR

If you are interested in becoming a tutor for SSS, please click on the link below and fill out the application.  Return the form to Teresa Jordan, SSS Tutoring Coordinator, via email (triosss@ualr.edu) or in person.  NOTE:  You do not have to be in Student Support Services to apply.  Anyone is welcome to apply to become a tutor!  We are looking for ones who earned an A or B in a particular course and have a desire and the skills to tutor that subject (or more than one!).  If you feel you are qualified to tutor a particular subject, but did not take the specific course, you are still welcome to apply.  Experience will be considered (especially in language courses).
