SSS students are eligible for walk-in tutoring services each semester they are enrolled in courses at UALR. Any SSS student needing tutoring assistance during the summer should contact Teresa Jordan at 501-879-8749 or at email@example.com. The tutoring lab will be closed for the summer session, but will reopen for the fall semester, providing assistance for a wide variety of subjects, including limited selections of Accounting, Visual Arts, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Sciences, Economics, English, Earth Science (Geology), French, German, History, Mathematics, Management, Marketing, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Rhetoric and Writing, Sociology, Spanish, and Statistics.
If you are an SSS student and wish to request a tutor for courses not already on the walk-in schedule for the current semester, please contact the Tutoring Coordinator, Teresa Jordan at 501-569-8749 or visit in person in SPCH 106-B.
BECOME A TUTOR
If you are interested in becoming a tutor for SSS, please click on the link below and fill out the application. Return the form to Teresa Jordan, SSS Tutoring Coordinator, via email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or in person. NOTE: You do not have to be in Student Support Services to apply. Anyone is welcome to apply to become a tutor! We are looking for ones who earned an A or B in a particular course and have a desire and the skills to tutor that subject (or more than one!). If you feel you are qualified to tutor a particular subject, but did not take the specific course, you are still welcome to apply. Experience will be considered (especially in language courses).
