Kelley Cooper – Bio-Medical Photo Specialist

Kelley Cooper
After being in the workforce for years, Kelley Cooper reached out to the universe to show her the way. She said its response was the gift of going back to school at UALR for a master’s degree in applied speech communication.

UALR is familiar ground for Kelley, who graduated from here with a bachelor’s in radio, TV, and film in 1987.

Since then, she’s owned her own business, moved up the ranks at Dillard’s, and become a bio-medical photo specialist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.

Kelley finds fulfillment at her job, where she says she shoots everything from “heart transplants to handshakes.”

Going back to school was an easy choice for Kelley – she knew she wanted to improve her writing and communication skills. She credits the professors in the Department of Speech Communication for rekindling a fire in her.
