University of Arkansas at Little Rock

During the 2011 Summer Program, Educational Talent Search students visited the beautiful city of New Orleans, LA July 20 to July 23, 2011. The students were given the opportunityt to experience tye vast culture of the city through the delicious foods as well as visit Louisiana State University.  They were also treated to a visit to the Audubon Aquarium.

To make sure the students got a full range of the college experience in New Orleans, they also toured Tulane and Southern. Of course, what would a trip be without a stop at the local mall for souvenirs.  The kids had a great time! See the pictures of their adventures below

While on a campus visit to UALR the Lakeside High School juniors were introduced to the many college majors from the Office of Recruitment.  Students were also able to share with the AAMI Director, and find out how African-American Males are staying connected.

Spring 2012:  January 16, 2012 – March 13, 2012

The CLC Tutoring Program designed to assist students in the community to enhance their learning ability in subject areas, ended with a bang.  Students gathered at Playtime Pizza to receive awards and enjoy food and lots of fund for their efforts.  Zoom, zoom, zoom went many of them as they sparred off on the race track.  Catch them if you can - and you definitely can join them next school year.

Dollarway High School and Lakeside High School Juniors attended UAPB Lion Fever in April and enjoyed the highlights of the famous Lion Marching Band, Greek Fraternities and Sororities and College Departments.  Students toured the campus, participated in games and enjoyed a BBQ lunch.
