The ParaPro Assessment measures the skills and knowledge in reading, writing, and math of prospective and practicing paraprofessionals. It also measures their ability to apply those skills and knowledge when assisting in classroom instruction. It was designed to satisfy the requirements of the federally legislated No Child Left Behind Act.
ParaPro is a part of the Praxis program. The ParaPro assessment is given on computer in participating school districts. Contact your district’s administrative office to determine if this option is available to you.
ParaPro is administered in a paper-pencil format on some Praxis dates at some centers. Please refer to the website for information.
