November 11, 2009, the UALR commuity honored all veterans who served and continue to serve our country with a ceremony at the flag pole. Guest speaker was retired Navy commander John Saunders, a veteran of the Korean, Vietnam and Desert Storm Wars.

Little Rock D.J. Tre’ Day hosted his 6th Annual Celebrity Bowling Bash funding scholarships for students majoring in Mass Communication at UALR.
