Tuition Reimbursement, Scholarships and Paid Internships

Tuition Reimbursement

UALRTeach offers tuition reimbursement for the first two courses: SCED/IGSC 1101 Step 1-Inquiry Teaching (FYC) and SCED/IGSC 1102 Step 2 – Inquiry  Lesson Design. UALRTeach students who complete these courses and earn a grade of “C” or better in each course will receive a tuition reimbursement for each course.


UALRTeach also offers annual scholarships to essentially cover the cost of the UALRTeach Minor.  Each year UALRTeach students are encouraged to apply for scholarships that will award them $250 for every credit hour of UALRTeach courses taken each semester (beyond Step 1 and Step 2).

UALRTeach Internships are available to UALRTeach students from sophomore through senior years (applicants must have passed Praxis 1 or CORE test).  The students selected will receive $2,000 for work in the scientific community/education outreach chosen from a list of possible internship positions provided by UALRTeach (20 hr/wk, for 4 weeks). Internship applicants may work part-time during the academic year and/or over the summer months in addition to the internship.

UALRTeach will assist recipients in identifying internship positions that meet their interests and time constraints. Internship applications must be renewed each Spring term.
