In December, 2012, the University District hosted a conceptual design workshop to discuss new “treatments” for University Avenue and its intersections in order to prime development of a true University Village. We envision a vibrant, mixed use community on the west side of University Avenue between Broadmoor Drive and the Asher/Col. Glenn/University Avenue Intersection. The roadway improvements proposed for this stretch of University Avenue will vastly improve safety along University Avenue and stimulate new commercial development.
The first presentation, entitled “Making the Case” identifies important health and safety reasons for making the improvements.
The second presentation, entitled “University Village Stakeholders Presentation,”provides an overview of the conceptual design workshop and the proposed improvements for University Avenue.
In addition to the PowerPoint presentations, here is a link to the final report, “Establishing University Village” which provides the substance of the presentations in report format.
