Surrogates
Tuesday, November 17th - 7:00 pm
Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Room A

FBI agents (BRUCE WILLIS and RADHA MITCHELL) investigate the mysterious murder of a college student linked to the man who helped create a high-tech surrogate phenomenon that allows people to purchase unflawed robotic versions of themselves – fit, good looking remotely controlled machines that ultimately assume their life roles – enabling people to experience life vicariously from the comfort and safety of their own homes. The murder spawns a quest for answers: in a world of masks, who’s real and who can you trust?

Welcome Week 2009
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Friday, August 28, 2009 - 8:30 pm
Lot 1
(near Donaghey Student Center)

Wolverine, fan favorite of the X-Men universe in both comic books and film, gets his own movie vehicle with X-Men Origins: Wolverine, a tale that reaches way, way back into the hairy mutant’s story. Somewhere in the wilds of northwest Canada in the early 1800s, two boys grow up amid violence: half-brothers with very special powers. Eventually they will become the near-indestructible warriors (and victims of a super-secret government program) known as Wolverine and Sabretooth, played respectively by Hugh Jackman (returning to his role) and Liev Schreiber (new to the scene). Run Time: 107 minutes | Rated PG-13

Comedian Nick Thune

Welcome Week 2009
Tuesday, August 25, 2009 - 7:00 - 8:00 pm
Donaghey Student Center Ledbetter Rooms A, B, & C

Nick Thune, comedian/actor/writer/bird owner, is from Seattle, Washington. Nick has been on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno two times. On both occasions, he won. Comedy Central presented a half hour of Nick’s ‘world class’ stand up comedy. It was a success for everyone involved, including the audience. Comedy Central also paid Nick to make iThunes, a series of short films for the world wide web.
The people wanted more - ABC came calling. Nick is in the process of creating/writing a sitcom, ‘The Nick Thune Experience”. Ruben Fliescher, directed iThunes, and writer Bob Fischer, wedding crashers, will work with Nick on the project. In his free time, Nick grows tomatoes and tours the country, touching hearts, one joke at a time. For more information on Nick, believe in yourself.
