Librarians Examine UALR Research
Wanda Dole, dean of UALR’s Ottenheimer Library, and Donna Rose, director of its Cataloging Department, will present a paper at the second Library Assessment Conference: Building Effective, Sustainable, Practical Assessment.
The conference will be held in Seattle Aug. 4 to 7, sponsored by the Association of Research Libraries.
Their paper, “Integrating Assessment and Planning: A Path to Improved Library Effectiveness,” will illustrate the value of pursuing an approach to improved library effectiveness that integrates strategic planning, performance measurement and organizational flexibility.
The presentation in Seattle builds on research Dole and her colleagues presented at the association’s Northumbria Conference in England and traces the history and development of the integrated approach at UALR.
