So well articulated Donna! I have tried to leave this same impression with my children through the years. We must be courageous.

I attended Little Rock Central High. I have walked through the halls of unification at the lovely Little Rock Central High. We, both African Americans and Caucasians, where friends like never before. Central has come a long way: from watching the videos in History class during Black History month to having an African American principal during my years at Central to honoring the beautiful and highly respected Little Rock Nine on the front steps of Central High during the 40th year anniversary. I am proud to be a Central High graduate. I will always salute the Little Rock Nine for paving the way to help me receive the education I deserve.

I think it's great to have some time to reflect on past great endeavors that those that have come before us went through. It makes us appreciate where we are today.
