The New York Classical Players is a dynamic and versatile chamber orchestra composed of young musicians committed to bringing free, high-level concerts to diverse audiences in the greater New York City metropolitan area. Founded on the belief that access to excellence in music is an essential human right, the New York Classical Players (NYCP) is a non-profit organization composed of young professional musicians under the leadership of founding music director Dongmin Kim, NYCP seeks to reach a wide spectrum of audiences with performances that engage the communities in which they occur.

The Chancellor’s Concert Series is a new menu of highly select offerings from world-class artists from all musical genres – rock, pop, blues, classical, contemporary, instrumental, vocal – you name it!
Our inaugural season offers an amazing mix of styles. Legendary bassist Chuck Rainey opens the season, followed by world-renowned guitarist Phil Keaggy. The innovative New York Classical Players will present a program of masterworks for chamber orchestra by Beethoven and Shostakovich. The season closes with a week-long residency with the incomparable Polygraph Lounge, an eclectic mix of wit, humor, and dazzling musical artistry.
