DSpeak Downloads

• DSpeak (DingDang Speak, March 9, 1997) Similar as DingDang Write but is designed for Windows 3.1.

DWrite/DSpeak full version includes programs, 7 font files, 8 input method table files, LianXiang file and 2 voice files (male and female). Voice file for DWrite is in Windows compressed file format. Voice file for DSpeak in uncompressed format which will work on Windows 3.1 as well.

Shareware Information

Shareware version contains all basic files. These is no expire date. Some input tables and font files not included. About 5 percent of the voice file is blanked out on purpose. A shareware screen will be displayed on program start up.

DingDang Write is a multimedia capable Chinese word processor. It allow you to write in Chinese with QuanPin, PinYin, CangJie, QuWei and English input methods. It can read Chinese through your sound card so that you can listen your favorate article instead of reading it. You can print on any printer that Window support with print preview.

DingDang Write will also register itself as an OLE server when you run it the first time. This allow you to insert Chinese text file as an object into your other favorate Windows application such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel etc. You can edit Chinese inside other applications (OLE in place editing). It can also be used to work with your browser to read Chinese magazines on the internet.

DingDang Speak let you use either sound card or PC speakers. You can listen to Chinese without multimedia hardware on your computer. This program will run under Windows 3.1, Windows 95 as well as IBM OS/2.

OLE suport is removed. Depends on how you see it, this is a feature. The reason is that this program will run under Windows 3.1 without 32-bit support. It uses multiple document interface so that you can edit several files at the same time.

I suggest you to get this software if you are using Windows 3.1 or you do not have a sound card in your computer. Otherwise, DingDang Write is a better choice.
